Painting Description- The Two Fridas (1939)

                    Hi, guys
I've talked here on the blog about the painter that I like so much, which is the Frida Kahlo. And in this post I'll show  one of his works and make a "painting description" of the work, hope you enjoy.
The work is called '' The Two Fridas '' 1939.

One of the things that make me appreciate his works is the way she expressed her feelings in painting, showing really WHAT she was feeling.
Within this framework, there are two Fridas (one with * Diego, one without Diego). On the left shows how Diego liked to see Frida dressed and also portrays Frida with her empty life and soulless with heart bleeding for not have Diego. On the right shows that with Diego Frida is complete and in his left hand there is a portrait of Diego. The circulatory system showing the severed artery means disruption with Diego.
*Diego is who Frida loved and had a relationship.

Kiss loves, until the next

Hi hi guys, today I came make a Testimonial for you, telling of my experience in change schools.

Almost two years ago I decided to change schools, always I studied with the same group of friends since childhood and I was adapted the schools I studied with the way of teaching, the manner of my friends. But along with my parents I decided to change schools because of education even, teaching method, etc.
It was a great change in many ways, education, the environment, people. At first it was strange, I do not wanted to be there but with the passage of time I went building friendships and adapting me to the study. I had to study a lot more, read books and be updated on different subjects.
It was a great learning, both in school materials because I realized that I was more inside of the contents and inside than was going on in the world. And both at question of coexistence with people, it's very important you learn how to socialize and communicate with people around you.

Art Report- Vincent Willem Van Gogh

I always heard talk about Van Gogh, at school, on the street, on television; also already seen some of his works. But I never stopped to research its history, and lately my prof. arts Roberto spent as raw '' Van Gogh '' and I enjoyed these classes, it's good learn more about a so painter famous I came to like and appreciate Van Gogh.
Vincent Willem van Gogh was his name, was born on March 30, 1853 and died on July 29, 1890.     Committed suicide and had mental problems (it's what they say). the curiosities that my teacher gave were some: Vincent was framed by expressionist paintings, different paintings of the time. While he was alive he sold one of his paintings "Red Vineyard " in exchange for food, and when he died his paintings began to be sold (for very high prices). And there is something very interesting in his paintings, when the work had quite the color yellow is because he was at peace with himself and when the work have strong and dark colors is because he was disturbed.

Vincent Willem van Gogh is a painter who impressed me with his works and its history.

Book Review-The Fault In Our Stars

A book with young characters, involving drama and fun. A book that brings a lot of emotions.

The Fault In Our Stars is a book written by John Green and tells the story of a teenager named Hazel Grace who lives since child with thyroid cancer (which brought a pulmonary metastasis). The story changes when she meets Augustus Waters, also young, former basketball player who had one leg amputated because of osteosarcoma; it is also humorous and loves life. Thenceforth the two try to enjoy the best possible way the last few days of life together.
This is a book that mixes melancholy, sweetness, philosophy, fun and love. A book that brings true love between two young people in their last days, and that will make you laugh, cry and want more.

William Shakespeare

William Shakespeare (Stratford-upon-Avon April 23, 1564  ,— Stratford-upon-Avon, April 23, 1616) was a poet, playwright and English actor, considered the greatest writer in the English language and the most influential playwright in the world. It is often called England's national poet and "Bard of Avon" or simply The Bard. Of his works, including those in collaboration, remain until today 38 plays, 154 sonnets, two long narrative poems, and a few sparse verses, whose authorship, however, are still disputed. His plays have been translated to all major modern languages and are staged more than those of any other playwright. Many of his texts and themes, especially the theater, remain alive to this day, being revisited frequently, especially in theater, television, film and literature.

             FEW PHRASES TO WILLIAM SHAKESPEARE:

"Better to be king of your silence than slave to your words."
"Anger is a poison we drink waiting for the others die."
"A man who no feeds on their dreams, ages early."
"I plant my garden and decorate my soul instead of waiting for someone bring me flowers!"
"The words are full of falsehood or art; the look is the language of the heart. "
"It's easier to get what you want with a smile than with the tip of the sword."

Play Musical Review- The Moon and the Poet

A play very well thought out. The actors (a man and a woman) act with a lot of emotion and transmit feelings for who is watching. The elements used in the scene are full of symbols and bring the culture of the city it will be quoted in history.
The play comes to Federico Garcia Lorca, who was a Spanish poet and playwright who inspired young people, children and even adults with their liberator work. He was executed in the city of Granada as one of the first victims of the Spanish Civil War.
The Moon and the Poet is based on the last day of the poet, before he was arrested and executed in the city of Granada. All piece is counted in Carmen garden where he finds a child (girl), we realize that in fact this child was Federico in its infancy. And thenceforth the two characters begin to talk about fears and dreams.

That's a very interesting piece because it makes the people who are watching participate the piece, joining all the information to make sense. They do not give all the information ready, they help just giving '' clues''.

Genesis: Sebastião Salgado

Hello readers and readings, how are you?

I recently went to an art exhibition with my school in a unit of SESC of my city '' Genesis: Sebastião Salgado -Selection Works "
(Sebastião Ribiro Salgado Júnior- Brazilian photographer)
Genesis: Sebastião Salgado
“Genesis is a journey in search of the planet as it existed ,before modernization accelerate and move away the essential core. It is a search for terrestrial and aquatic landscapes untouched to this day; a journey toward the animals and human groups who managed to escape of the changes required by the contemporary world.
It is this hidden beauty, defended and protected that Genesis want to share. We do a tribute to this our fragile planet we have a duty to protect”
Lélia Wanick Salgado(spouse of Sebastião Salgado)-Curadora

” The Sebastião Salgado lenses witnessed over the past few decades, precious facets unknown  of the world. And the world through your photos, might reflect on these facets, hitherto veiled. This is especially true in the case of Genesis, exhibition that brings together images taken from 2004 to 2011 in areas that remain untouched by the changes implemented by man.
As occurred in the series “Trabalhadores” and “Êxodos”, Salgado gets involved in a global-scale enterprise. The difference lies in the role  of the force system the nature, which now and then appear the human being in communion state. Superlative distances, absence of conventional transport means, temperature extremes, altitude and humidity: the questions that away us these contexts reflect in the photographs, metamorphosed into gradations expressive of black and white.”

Danilo Santos de Miranda
(regional director Sesc São Paulo)

‘’In addition to bringing the public eye the beauty of isolated people and great landscapes, Genesis is a call for a fight.
The fact is that we can not continue polluting our soil, water and air. We need to act now to preserve land and water still untouched, and to protect the environment, sanctuary of animal and ancient peoples.
And we must go further. We should try to reverse the damage.
Our modest contribution was reforest land in southeastern Brazil. Over the past 15 years the Instituto Terra -our organization non-profit - plant about two million trees, more than 300 different species already have flourished there”

Frida Kahlo

Hello guys, how are you?

Today I come to speak about a painter I found in my art classes in school: Frida Kahlo.

For those who do not know I will present a short summary:

Frida Kahlo was born in 1907 in a small town in Mexico.
Frida attended the National Preparatory School in the Federal District of Mexico and attended the drawing classes and modeling.
With about 18 years suffered a tram accident . The bumper of a vehicle pierced his back and went out through the vagina, causing severe bleeding. Frida spent a long time in hospital  and had to make several surgeries.
During his long convalescence, he began painting.
In 1928, she met the muralist Diego Rivera, whom he married the following year.
In 1938 André Breton qualifies his work of surreal. Nevertheless, she says later: ‘’Find I am a surrealist, but I'm not. Never painted dreams. Always painted my own reality’'.
In 1953 the Contemporary Art Gallery organized a major exhibition in his honor.

Frida also had a released movie:
‘’FRIDA’’- Trailler

Frida has several famous works, but in this post I will explain the meaning of one of his works (according to my art teacher) :

My dress hanging /New York -1933

(I have listed to stay easier)

1-the toilet that is for Frida all values were called “La gran caca Americana”
2- the dress: the body of Frida was in the US, but his soul was in Mexico
3- beneath the dress has people begging. Means the hunger that fell in the US after the economic  crisis (1829)
4- the trophy shows the importance that the US give the sport
5- the trash means the values that oppress the people of the Americas
6- the Statue of Liberty represents the American power
7-the industries show the value that people give to capitalism, instead of giving to humans
8-the church, the postituta and the US Congress symbolizes the hypocrisy of American society
9-the fire means that everything should be burned

T.V Debate- Are you for or against television?

Hi;) Television is a great source of information and entertainment , but not everyone likes this medium of communication.
Particularmente I am in favor the television. Ok,there are its disadvantages like anything else. But depends on the personality of each.
Here are some arguments of "Why and I favor the television?" :

 * Television is a great form of communication and information. You can stay informed and stay inside of worldwide events, in terms of news, sports, culture, etc.
  * Television offers plenty of entertainment, such as channels drawings, channels of all types of film, music channels, sports channels, etc.
  * The tv somehow influences the people who are watching, but does not influence in a negative way only. Has positive sides too, when there are issues of society ,when through novels, break prejudices.
  *Television helps to spread ideas.
